My Father was a WWII VETERAN, who served overseas. I was born many years later, but I always remember him singing this song in his basement hobby workshop. I never thought much about it then, but now that he is gone, I treasure this song , and his memory. Thank You SO MUCH for sharing this! 🇺🇸❤️

My grandfather back in the 1980s would tell me as a teenager he would laugh at this song. I never heard it until today in 2024 thanks to youtube. My grandfather passed way in 1997.
